AI Crowd Management Company WaitTime Enters Channel Through $62BIL Distributor TD Synnex

WaitTime’s software provides “real-time data and historical analytics on crowd behavior, giving operations personnel “live data on crowd movement, density and occupancy while providing guests information they need to navigate,” according to its website. Customers include the Miami Heat, LA Dodgers and Denver Broncos as well as the Mall of America.

A startup called WaitTime that provides AI crowd management software solutions is hoping to expand its business though solution providers as part of a new distribution deal with TD Synnex.

The Detroit-based vendor announced Tuesday that it has entered a strategic partnership with TD Synnex, the U.S. distribution giant that serves more than 150,000 channel partners in over 100 countries.

Lisa McGarvey, vice president of AI and IoT solutions at TD Synnex, said the deal is part of the distribution company’s strategy of “aggregating IT solutions that deliver business outcomes today and unlock growth for the future.”

“With WaitTime added to our vast portfolio of vendor partners, we’re able to enrich the breadth and depth of our AI offerings and empower businesses to optimize their crowd management practices and elevate customer experiences,” she said in a statement.

Founded in 2014, WaitTime’s software provides “real-time data and historical analytics on crowd behavior, giving operations personnel “live data on crowd movement, density and occupancy while providing guests information they need to navigate,” according to its website.

For years, the startup has worked with Intel to optimize its software on the semiconductor giant’s processors using the Intel oneAPI programming model.

Customers referenced on WaitTime’s website include sports teams such as the Miami Heat, Los Angeles Dodgers and Denver Broncos as well as the Mall of America in Minnesota and U.K. event space NEC.

Zack Klima, CEO and founder of WaitTime, told CRN that the startup already works with some channel partners, including solution provider heavyweight World Wide Technology.

“The benefits that WWT brings to WaitTime is incredible scale, co-marketing and branding, deployment and the seamless delivery of the paramount experience that WaitTime provides its clients,” he said in an email. By striking a distribution deal with TD Synnex, WaitTime is hoping to move deeper into the channel, which the startup said will make it “easier for businesses to integrate the AI crowd management platform seamlessly into their existing infrastructure.”

“This partnership will enable us to make our AI crowd management solutions more accessible to businesses and venues worldwide, fostering safer, more enjoyable experiences for their customers,” Klima said in a statement.
